Le SURROUNDINGS LAB de la Swedish University of Agricultural Sciences (SLU) invite BazarUrbain à communiquer sur la place et le rôle des films dans le cadre de projets urbains. Naïm Aït Sidhoum, architecte réalisateur (Les films de la Villeneuve), avec qui ce travail se fait en étroite collaboration depuis plus de 10 ans sera à Malmö pour en parler.

The newly founded interdisciplinary SURROUNDINGS LAB at Swedish University of Agricultural Sciences (SLU) invites to an open half-day research & practice seminar in Malmö that explores the film media as tool of spatial empowerment and democracy, in architecture and urban planning,

At STUDIOs cinematic BLACKBOX room in central Malmö potential relationships of film and architecture is addressed that can inspire future practice and research. Relations of architecture, film and the visual arts are unfolded in three thematic sessions; KNOWLEDGE CREATION, SUSTAINABILITY & FILM, AUDIOVISUAL PRACTICE. The seminar ends in a post-dinner film screening session. Through state-of-the-art research knowledge, teaching and practice interdisciplinary methods, tools of spatial empowerment and knowledge perspectives are explored for architects, film-makers, artists, citizens and urban planners.

The seminar includes coffee, snacks, a refreshing dinner as well as a post-dinner film session, all in STUDIOs BLACKBOX. The light dinner includes a light serve of tapas dishes and fresh drinks.

The SURROUNDING LAB seminar is to inspire new practices and relations as well as to inspire new interdisciplinary research, practice and projects on film and architecture in Europe. Limited student discount tickets available.
